Hello Comets:

The county superintendents have been creating a back to school plan based on the state guidelines that all schools in the state must follow.  I have attached the plan below.  Please read through it so you are aware of the requirements for face to face instruction this fall.  We are working hard to develop a plan for Jonesville that will allow us to provide excellent education in the safest manner possible.  I have also attached a survey so we can get information from you on what will work best for your family.  Once we have your information, we will be able to refine and improve our plan.  Thank you for working with us to take care of our kids!

Jonesville Athletics 

Participation Requirements - Summer 2020

State of Michigan Orders & MHSAA Guidelines are mandatory and must be followed prior to, during and after each activity/session.  The following items are required in order to participate in Jonesville Community Schools Outdoor activities starting June 15, 2020:

**Please click on the link for 1 and 2 below.  You will need to print both of these off, fill them out, and bring them with you.

1) If you have a 2019-2020 Physical on file, complete the 2020-2021 MHSAA Health Questionnaire form, if not, you must complete a new MHSAA Physical form prior to participation.

2) Assumption of Risk (COVID 19) form completed for each student-athlete prior to participation.

3) Student-Athletes MUST bring their own Face Mask, Hand Sanitizer (with name) & Bottled Water (with name) in order to participate.

4) Prior to participation in any activity, coaches and athletes will be asked to answer health screening questions (Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, Shortness of Breath, Close Contact or Cared for Someone with COVID19), as well as have their temperature taken and recorded.  If they answer yes to any of the questions or if their temperature is higher than 100.3, they will not be allowed to participate and will be sent home.  

Each of our head coaches participated in a training meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.  We will practice social distancing and when it can not be avoided that masks will be worn.  Hand sanitizer will be used every 30 minutes and will include the cleaning of equipment.  Equipment and facilities will be cleaned at the end of each session.

We ask that student athletes do not share hand sanitizer or food as well as maintain social distancing as they arrive and while waiting to leave.  They should avoid spitting to prevent airborne particles.  Bathrooms will not be available.

We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.  We want to get this right and make sure we do everything under our control to ensure that we have sports when we return this fall.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the athletic department - [email protected]

Jonesville Community Schools Board of Education 2020-2021
Virtual board meeting, Thursday July 23rd, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Executive Order 2020-110 only permits "indoor social gatherings" of up to 10 people which does not cover school board meetings.  This requires the Jonesville Community Schools Board of Education to meet virtually under EO 2020-154.

Chromebook Repair 
 Student's chromebooks that need repairs may be dropped off at JCS Central Office
located at 115 East Street in Jonesville.  There is a plastic tub in the foyer by the 
front door. 
Chromebooks to be repaired may be dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
Repaired chromebooks may be picked up on Wednesdays and Fridays
from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Ipads needing repairs should be taken to Quality PC in Hillsdale.
